Contact the desk
One address, a short list of things worth sending, and an honest account of what will not get a reply. Corrections are the messages this desk most wants to receive.
The address
Write to [email protected]. There is no contact form, no chat widget and no newsletter signup, because none of those would make a correction arrive faster and all of them would collect data this site has no use for.
What is worth sending
- A correction. Name the page, quote the sentence, state what is actually the case, and point at a documentation page or a transaction that shows it. That form gets fixed fastest.
- A parameter change. If a venue has revised a fee, a threshold, a destination or a fee split, saying so is genuinely useful, because this desk cannot watch every venue continuously.
- A venue this ledger has missed. New launch venues appear constantly and several of them are worth understanding well before anybody writes about them.
- A mechanism question. Questions about how something works often reveal that a page explained it badly, which is a correction in a different costume.
- A disagreement with an inference. Where this desk has worked something out from behaviour rather than documentation, it can be wrong, and being told so is the point of marking inferences.
What will not get a reply
Requests to review, feature, cover or evaluate a specific token. This desk writes about venues rather than about the things launched on them, and there is no arrangement under which that changes.
Requests to add a link, place a guest post, sponsor a page or arrange any reciprocal linking. The answer is no in all cases and the message will not be answered, so please save the effort.
Requests for a recommendation of which venue to launch on. The reason no venue is recommended is set out on the about page, and the alternative on offer is a framework you apply yourself, which is genuinely more useful than an opinion would be.
Requests for financial advice, price views, or an assessment of whether something is a good investment. This desk holds no such views and would not publish them if it did.
Response times
Corrections are handled first and usually quickly. Everything else is read and answered when there is time, which is not always soon. A message that goes unanswered for a fortnight has probably been read and deprioritised rather than missed.
A note on tone
Disagreement is welcome and is more useful when it is specific. A message saying a page is wrong prompts a reread; a message saying which sentence is wrong and why prompts an edit. The second kind takes a minute longer to write and is worth considerably more than a minute of anyone's time.
